Cattlemen's Ball

I have been missing from the blog and haven't updated my website for a very good reason. I am involved with the Cattlemen's Ball this year and while I am happy to volunteer my time, it takes ALL of my spare time! The Cattlemen's Ball is a great cause, with 90% of the proceeds going to UNMC/Eppley for cancer research and 10% staying local for health care. I am doing this in honor of my father who lost his battle to AML (leukemia) four years ago.

It is not too late to purchase tickets! Go to www.cattlemensball.com for more information. I am the chairperson for the art and style shows and am so excited about both! We have some amazing artists coming to show their work and the designers featured in the style show are full of talent!

Below are a few pieces of jewelry I had time to make for the style show.

Graham Gallery Show is up!!!

The opening reception for my show at Graham Gallery was Saturday night. Kingzlee came to support her Mommy!
We had live models wearing the higher end pieces. Behind each model on the wall is a canvas sketch of the piece. The canvas pieces are for sale as well. The show is up until November 15th so if you missed the opening, be sure to stop by the gallery and check out the show (the live models have been replaced by dress forms).

Graham Gallery 'Self Portrait' Show

Above is the canvas I painted for the 'Self Portrait' Show at Graham Gallery. I used quartz and pearls in the necklace and earrings and have a CZ in the middle of the cross on the 'belly'. Ode to Baby O!!!! The reception for the self portrait show is August 23rd, it is a great show with some really great submissions. For more information, check out www.graham-gallery.com

Self Portrait

Ok, with this new blog that we have set up, I will be better at updating because it is easy breezy! So, check back often!!!

Graham Gallery, owned by the amazing Angela Graham is having her 3rd annual juried competition. I have not had the time or energy the last two years to be a part of it but am excited to have just finished a piece for this years show. You can learn more about the show at http://www.graham-gallery.com/

The title this year is 'self portraits' so my piece includes a large belly since we are expecting our first baby in 4 weeks!!! After the show goes up, i will post pics.
